FARGO-MOORHEAD SYMPHONY
HEADLINE: Revzen Did Excellent Work Here
“His [Revzen’s] work in Fargo-Moorhead has been historic.”
“He demanded excellence and got it. He inspired confidence among the musicians; they melded into an orchestra brimming with justifiable pride in its work. Today, orchestra patrons expect superior performances of the most challenging works in the classical repertoire. Revzen’s playbills have given lovers of the form a dozen years of ever-improving musical moments. What more can a music director do?
In Revzen’s case, far more. His stage presence was an integral element in the subscription series of weekend concerts. He shared his knowledge of music and composers with audiences in a style that put even the most musically challenged persons in a comfort zone. As a result, he helped bring more and more people into the heady realm of good music.
Furthermore, Revzen and symphony managers brought to Fargo-Moorhead a perennial parade of world-class musicians and ensembles.”
“We wish the maestro all the best as he continues to make his mark on the world of classical music. He certainly made his mark here, and we appreciate his 11 seasons of hard work, dedication and especially his faith in the musical life of the community.
